I was a child again. I was in my parents' home. I could hear them in the next room. I could feel the sunlight on the floor. I could feel that specific kind of happiness that only exists when you're too young to know it won't last forever.
All of that — from a smell. It lasted maybe three seconds. But in those three seconds, I was home. Not the place. The feeling.

That moment changed something in me. I started paying attention to scent differently. Not as something beautiful or luxurious, but as something powerful — a key that could unlock rooms inside you that you thought were sealed shut.
I realized that the fragrances I loved most weren't the ones that smelled the most impressive. They were the ones that made me feel something. A warm vanilla that brought me back to a kitchen. A soft musk that reminded me of being held. A sweet, creamy warmth that felt like safety itself.
I realized something else: I wasn't alone in this. Everyone has a scent that stops them in their tracks. Everyone has a smell that takes them back to a person, a place, a version of themselves they miss. But almost no one was making perfume for that.
